About bidding zone SE3
SE3 covers central Sweden including Stockholm, Gothenburg and most large cities. It has the largest consumption and the nuclear power plants, and is connected to Norway, Finland and Denmark.
SE3 usually sits between north and south in price. In winter, and when nuclear reactors are offline, the price can approach SE4.
The spot price is only part of the cost. Grid fees, energy tax, VAT and the supplier's markup are added, and for larger consumers the peaks drive a large share of the grid fee.
